Last week I went to a really great photography workshop put on by the 'wedding photo journalist' Dennis Reggie. Side note: He took that iconic photograph of Jfk Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy coming out of a quaint little chapel on Cumberland Island after their nuptials. It was a great workshop and I learned a ton. One thing we talked a lot about was Vermeer (the 17th century painter) lighting. We took photos of a young woman in a bridal gown, and I felt the urge to make her look a bit more royal and a bit more painterly. The hair, well it is inspired by Marie Antoinette of course!
